My name is Luigi Doto and I'm passionate about training. My passion was kindled 25 years ago when I left teaching to pursue an opportunity in the corporate world. My first job in the business world was on a bilingual (French and English) help desk, and even though I had left teaching behind, the teacher in me soon resurfaced. In those early days I faced a pretty steep learning curve but I was happy to make what knowledge I had available to other newbies. As I gained experience and exposure, I came to be seen as a Subject Matter Expert and would be called upon more and more for advice and coaching.
My manager noticed my efforts and promoted me to trainer, and so began a career in Learning and Development during which I have trained over 6 000 learners, successfully designed, developed, and implemented nearly 100 instructional programs, built and managed training teams, and led the change management efforts of over a dozen multi-million dollar programs and initiatives. I have learned much along the way and want to share my experience with anyone interested in making their company, no matter how large or small, a better place to work and do business.
